Noel Gallagher (born 29 May 1967)
is an English rock musician from Manchester. He was the lead singer, main songwriter, rhythm guitarist, and leader of the now-defunct British rock band Oasis.

He is one of the defining songwriters of British popular music in the 1990s, and along with his brother, Damon Albarn, and others, is considered one of the key figures of 1990s British popular music.

After leaving Oasis, he formed his own backing band, 'Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds', and continued his musical career, but even now, after Oasis disbanded, fans still call him "The Chief". Like many British musicians, he comes from a working-class background, and he spent more time in his working-class days than other working-class musicians.
