Bob Ross
Bob Ross (Bob Ross) (October 29, 1942 – July 4, 1995)
Bob Ross was an American painter and military veteran.
Born in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1942, he served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1981. In 1981, he started the Bob Ross Class with his friend Annette, and in 1983, he became a well-known painter in the United States through the TV show 'The Joy of Painting', which aired on PBS. The reason why Ross's paintings often feature snow-capped mountains and coniferous forests is that he was stationed in Alaska.
○ We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents.
○ If you believe you can, then you can. Belief is everything.
○ There are no mistakes, just opportunities.
○ We can make the world as we want it to be. That’s the beauty of art.
○ Why do you paint? Most people paint because it makes them feel good. That’s wonderful. That’s great.
○ If you want to do something, do it. That’s the most important thing.
○ Just take it easy. Just let it be.
○ The canvas is your world. Create freely.
○ Talent is like a persistent interest. So, if you have the will to practice, you can develop talent.
○ There's nothing more rewarding than being able to express yourself through painting. It’s exercising your imagination, skills, and creative thinking. I think these actions reveal your true inner self.
○ When you have a job, you tend to become a terrible person. I was sick of it. So, if I could get out of work, I promised myself I would never work again.
