is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward for Inter Miami CF. He is the captain of both his club and national team.

He is the all-time top scorer in official FIFA competitions and holds the record for most goals and most assists in football history. Messi is the second highest goalscorer in FIFA history, has won the Ballon d'Or, FIFA World Player of the Year, and European Golden Shoe a record number of times, and is the all-time top scorer for FC Barcelona, the Argentina national team, and La Liga.
